Turn-In BBQ for iPhone and iPad, by Warped Technologies LLC. Effective 17 October 2026.

In short

Who we are and what these terms cover

Turn-In BBQ (the "app") is made by Warped Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). These terms cover the app, its smart features and this website (turninbbq.com). By using the app or this site, you agree to them. The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), and these terms add to it. If the two ever conflict, Apple's agreement wins for what it covers.

Cooking, contests and food safety

Turn-In BBQ is a planning and record-keeping tool. It does not replace your judgement, your thermometer, your sanctioning body's rules or your cooks' meeting. Always check the rules, turn-in times and windows for your contest, and follow safe food handling: cook to safe internal temperatures and hold hot food at 140°F or above. Alarms depend on your device, its settings and its battery; keep an eye on the clock yourself. Never use the app in a way that takes your attention from a fire or a hot pit.

Ours and yours

The app, its design, code, presets and the names Turn-In BBQ and Warped Technologies belong to us. Your team's data (plans, notes, recordings, photos, scores) belongs to you. Do not copy, resell or redistribute the app. KCBS, CBA, IBCA, MBN and SCA are the names of their sanctioning bodies; Turn-In BBQ is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them, and their rules can change, so the rules in your contest's packet always win.

No guarantees

We work hard to make Turn-In BBQ accurate and reliable, but the app, its smart features and this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Features that use the internet, iCloud, Siri, WeatherKit or a thermometer maker's service depend on services we do not control, and may change or be unavailable at times.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (including a missed turn-in, a lost contest or prize money, spoiled food or lost data), and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you, and nothing here takes away rights you have by law.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update this page and its date before the version of the app that needs the change is released. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply.
